Special Incentives for SC, ST entrepreneurs 

A number of incentives and concessions, which had been offered to the ST entrepreneurs in June this year, now have been extended to the SC entrepreneurs as well. 

The special benefits offered to the SC entrepreneurs are:

1. Rebate on the cost of the land allotted in Industrial Estates / IDAs developed by APIIC is increased to 33.3 per cent from 25 per cent limited to Rs 5 lakhs
   
   

2. Rebate on payment of power bills is increased to Re 1 from the present 75 paise per unit
   
   

3. Subsidy on capital investment is increased to 35 per cent and 5 per cent additional capital investment subsidy for SC women entrepreneurs subject to a ceiling of Rs. 50 lakh.
   
   

4. Hike in interest subsidy from 3 per cent to 5 per cent limited to Rs 5 lakhs. 
   
   

5. The tax paid by SC entrepreneurs that is allowed to be ploughed back as grant from the Government for five years, has also been enhanced from 25 to 50 per cent.

Infrastructure will be provided at the doorstep of the industry setup by the SC entrepreneurs in the Small Scale Sector. 

The State Government has announced quotas of 16 and 6 per cent to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs respectively in allotment of plots in industrial estates and industrial development areas developed by AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation.

A 10 per cent quota in plots in Industrial Estates and Industrial Development Areas has been offered to women entrepreneurs to encourage them as industrialists.
