Italian firm to invest in textile unit at Warangal
HYDERABAD: An Italian delegation led by Ettore Camozzi, board member, Camozzi Holding Spa, has evinced interest in investing Rs. 600 crores in a textile unit at Warangal.
The delegation called on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday and explained the company's specialisation. The incentives offered to industry by the Government had attracted it, a press release issued by the CMO said.
Chief Coordinator of Camozzi Textiles A.S. Rao said the proposed unit in Warangal district would take up spinning, weaving and production of cotton and polyester textiles and garments, both for domestic consumption and exports. The unit was expected to generate employment for about 4,000 people.
Others present were Principal Secretary, Industries, Lakshmi Parthasarathy, Secretary, Industry, Srilakshmi, Suresh K. Dutla of Ledgeburn Ltd, Italy, Rajiv Sinha, Vice-President, Camozzi Indian Operations, and P. Ravinder Reddy, Legal Adviser, Camozzi Textiles.
